Memory 02
Significant Neutral: Sabi Hakuhei's challenge. (ep 4, 0:00-7:34)
Description: Togame storms up to the temporary lodging she and Shichika are sharing, and reveals that she's received a letter of challenge through a Shogunate messenger to face Sabi Hakuhei—a prestigious swordsman who keeps one of the deviant blades. She critcizes him for being old fashioned, and berates Shichika for lacking personality (and being a bad actor, see, I told you tropey).
It's mentioned that Sabi betrayed Togame previously and ran off with the sword, and they discuss the "poison" in each blade.
Togame observes to herself that Shichika doesn't seem to know desire for women, which doesn't seem to be something she expected. It's also why they were able to kill their third foe easily. (A woman, Togame doesn't remember Meisai yet.) She wonders why he's fallen for her? It's sort of an odd and dramatic observation, and not unrelated to her previous meta.
Togame undresses. FOR REASONS.
There's some description of Sabi's sword here, Hakutou Hari (thin sword, the needle).
THEN WE ARE DISTRACTED BY THE FACT TOGAME IS CRAZY TICKLISH ON HER COLLARBONE.
Anyway, there's a bit more talk about where they're to meet for the duel and it ends on Shichika wondering how his sister is doing.
Notes:
+Why did I ask myself why this sword (man, that's a man) has fallen for me when there's not really any sign of emotional connection between the two of us?
+Confirmation of betrayal. That was quick.
+There are a lot of weird feelings running around here that Togame can't really account for, which is frustrating.
